Who we are

About|Face Consulting Ltd. was founded in 2004 by Kate Wilkinson, when she moved from Manchester, England to Inishowen, in County Donegal. Using her 14 years experience in the private sector working for a FTSE 500 company, Kate has established a successful and sustainable business with clients in both the UK and Ireland.

For about|face, it’s all about people. It is people who start, sustain and sometimes stop successful organisations and businesses. We believe that if you get the people part right, you will have a significantly improved chance of building and sustaining a successful enterprise.

Our aim is to ensure that the people we work with get what they ask for, and if they are not sure what they need, we work with them to define their requirements and to support them in achieving their goals.

We aim to build committed, friendly and professional relationships with everyone we work with, from national statutory agencies and organisations, to the community and voluntary groups and the small business person. We want you to want us back!

Our business model is a loose network of highly experienced associate consultants, who we work with depending on the client’s need. This approach enables us to keep our costs highly competitive and to be able to respond quickly to the changing needs of the people we work with.

Our founder, Kate Wilkinson spend 14 years working in the water and electricity utility industry in the UK and overseas, at the time when the industry was undergoing huge change due to privatization. Along the way, she has learned, and continues to learn, a great deal about what good business management is, as well as seeing probably more than her fair share of examples of ineffective and poor management. Both of these provided learning opportunities and this has been the bedrock of About|Face which enables us to share all of our expertise, skills and experience with our clients.
